ARIMA gathers the one-of-one rings.
The collection is guided by written and spoken family narratives, and by the chance meeting of Eugenia de Campo and Auguste Agostini in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago. Carib, Corsican, Portuguese and Trinidadian influence has shaped each design, from the selection of gemstones to the sculptural forms of the metal.
One silhouette, held constant, and a different stone each time: golden sapphire cut marquise, peach tourmaline and aquamarine cut emerald, a Zambian emerald set in platinum, a cushion-cut Madeira citrine, Ceylon sapphire, hessonite garnet, a pair of green sapphires. Baguettes of aquamarine and pink sapphire across one band; a marquise Ceylon sapphire beside a round yellow sapphire on another.
Each is set by hand in sterling silver, 9ct gold or platinum, in the studio in the Nicholas Building, Melbourne.
Opulence in the everyday.
